SHORT biography

He was born on May 15, 1988 in Dej, Romania, he received the Engineering degree and the Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, Romania, in 2010 and 2012, respectively. In 2012 he followed an Erasmus Program at Maccon GmbH in Munich, Germany, during the second semester of his final year of Master, where his research topic was the hardware design and implementation of a 2-axis motor controller. In 2013, he joined the Department of Electrical Machines and Drives, at Technical University of Cluj Napoca, as a Phd student and soon became an early stage researcher in collaboration with Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH, Wuerzburg, Germany.

Professional events attendance

    1. Training "Introduction to ANSYS Maxwell" in Horsham UK. The objective of the course was to show how to effectively use ANSYS Maxwell to setup, solve and postprocess the results from electromagnetic and electromechanical models.

    2. Seminar with the topic "Simulation methods for the development and optimization of hybrid electric vehicles" - Stuttgart - 8th of May 2014.

    3. Workshop about "Scade Suite" held at Brose Wuerzburg, Germany.

    4. Exhibition "Embedded World Exhibition & Conference" on 24 February in Nuernberg, Germany.

    5. Training on dSPACE held on 13 -14 March 2015 at Brose Wuerzburg, where the main topic was "Real Time Systems". The 2 day training was based on a hands-on approach (with exercises) and provided all necessary dSPACE hardware and software tools.
