SHORT biography

He was born on 08th of February 1990, Satu Mare, Romania. After graduating "Mihai Eminescu National College" in 2009 he followed the courses of Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania and he graduated in 2013. In the same year he started the master program on Advanced Electric Systems and Structures in electrical engineering which he graduated in 2015. Since 1st of October 2015 he is enrolled as a PhD student at Electromechanical System Group under the coordination of Professor Claudia Martis.

RESEARCH FIELD

    - PhD thesis: Synchronous Reluctance Machine (SynRM) for automotive applications.

    - The importance of SynRM performance in automotive industry. Efficient energy use of SynRM due to optimized control devices. Dynamics and efficiency of Electric Drive governed by linearization of power electronics and electric machine.

    Objectives

      1. Documentation and literature review on electrical machine control (Synchronous Reluctance Machine) and power electronics.

      2. Electric Drive modelling using MATLAB/SIMULINK plus simulation for different control strategies. Comparison Evaluation between these control strategies and optimization of PI controllers.

      3. VHDL code for FPGA using MATLAB/SIMULINK, system development and evaluation.

      4. Test bench setup: planning and building the entire system for Hardware in the loop test.

      5. Hardware in the loop testing (HiL test).

      6. PhD writing.
