SHORT biography
Radu Martis was born on the 25'th of May 1990 in Cluj-Napoca. He graduated from the English bilingual high-school, "Gheorghe Sincai", after which he enrolled into Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, where he studied Electro-mechanics, in the frame of the Electrical Engineering faculty.
His bachelor thesis, "Design and Analysis of a SRM for cooling fan application", addressed design, optimization as well as control of electrical machines. For the master thesis, he designed and tested the CAN communication protocol on a low-cost FPGA based development board.
RESEARCH FIELD
- His Phd. thesis addresses fault tolerant machines and control techniques with the main objective being to design systems with these characteristics. Aside from this, he is involved in many other short term projects, such as radial force analytical calculation in the SR motor, Co-simulation of dynamic motor models using Ansys-Maxwell and Ansys-Simplorer etc.
